This is inside the castle, though given the gardens and beauty inside the place you’d have no idea it was once a fortification. The pink building on the right is a palace plonked rather presumptiously in the middle of the castle much later, and the arches belong to a small and simple mosque. The contrast between the (very) old mosque and the palace is startling.
